Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
In a CSA, a farmer offers a certain number of “shares” of his crops to the public. Typically the share consists of a box of vegetables, but other farm products may be included. Consumers purchase a share and in return receive a box of seasonal produce each week throughout the farming season.
Buying directly from a farm is the best way to know what you’re eating and to support your local community. Community Supported Agriculture is one of the best ways for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer and the best way to get the lowest cost on the best produce.
